Pulses are edible seeds from plants. These seeds have many different variety's and names, such as Beans, Peas, and Lentils. When consumed they are very nutritious for humans and animals. Technically Pulses are fruits that can also be classified as a Vegetable, Cereal, and Protein. This is based on their nutritional value. No chemicals or fertilizers are required to grow Pulses. Farmers leave the roots in the ground after harvesting which provides nitrogen, revitalizing the soil.  Pulses are easy to grow, one seed can produce many more.
